We are a non-profit organisation that defends, enforces, and advances data rights all over Europe.
Data Rights works to build an internet free from digital arms races and monopolistic control.
We reject a world where surveillance is a business model, where NGOs, businesses, and individuals are left technically exposed, and where exercising basic rights depends on the goodwill of a few tech giants. Everyone, citizens, communities, organisations, and critical infrastructures, must have access to cybersecurity and human rights safeguards that allow them to thrive with dignity and autonomy.
We believe in liberating creativity and self-determination from the vanity of influence and the pursuit of power over people and resources. Another model of the internet is possible. A model where people understand their data rights, know how their information is used, and can demand accountability.
